Reflecting on the 2025 Wedding Season!

2025 was such a crazy busy wedding season at Hematite Images. In the BEST WAY POSSIBLE! I got to capture SO many wedding days. With the New Year rolling in hot and 2026 weddings about to go full force, I wanted to reflect on some of my favourite weddings from 2025 season. Starting off strong firstly with one of my FAVOURITE wedding venues…St. Mary’s Weddings

Every wedding day starts with the most beautiful getting ready photos! We began at Penrose Suites for the girls and guys getting ready portion of the day. Let me tell you after FIVE years of photographing weddings, this hotel takes the cake! It is the best getting ready spot. It is spacious so everyone has room to roam about. Think on your wedding day, there will be not only your family and bridesmaids in the room with you. Also hair and makeup artists, florists popping in, your planner/day of coordinator and your media team. photographers, videographers and even content creators. Above all, you will want the space on the day of! Not only is it roomy, but I swear this place has the BEST lighting I have seen. And the decor is modern and editorial feeling. Additionally, there are tons of places for photos and first looks! I am obsessed!

All About St. Mary’s!

What I love most about St. Mary’s is really just how on top of things they are. Not only is everything is handled and dealt with. Photo routes, memorized and easy. Secondly, they always come prepared with premade snack boxes so you can enjoy cocktail hour even while taking photos! Both rooms at St.Mary’s are gorgeous! We were at my personal FAV for Leah and Jacob’s wedding day; The Hideaway!!! I just love the modern feel. And can we talk about how trendy yet timeless the white draping is!! AHHH to die for!

In other words, it truly is always such a fun, organized and aesthetically pleasing day when I have a St.Mary’s wedding. Let me tell you….I am already DYINGGGG to find my way back there!
